Clinic 9/25/06

Today in clinic, it was nice to be able to review and practice exploring some more. I feel more comfortable with it now, still not perfect but still better than before. My goal was to do the PE for Health History. I had heard it was hard, and it wasn't easy but it was ok. It was an ok day in clinic today.

Clinic 9/20/06

Todays clinic was really good! I learned so much. Jeff helped me one on one and it was so nice because I haven't felt like I really knew what was going on as good as a needed to up until now. I am not the best at fulcuming and adapting but I feel a lot better after today. Today's clinic was good!

Clinic 9/18/06

Today was ok in clinic. The intra-oral exams are different to do. It was kind of fun to get to do the whole first part of an appointment on someone. My goal was to learn about the intra-oral and to be able to do the extra-oral on someone without having to look at the PE. I got both of those done. We got everything that we were supposed to do done so fast and then it sucked having to find something to do for the last 2 hours, I hope that doesn't keep happening in clinic cause it makes me dread clinic. If we have everything done it is frustrating that we can't just leave and go home to get other stuff done. I hope it gets better soon!!

Clinic 9/13/05

Today my goal was to learn about the fulcrum and be able to take a blood pressure without any problems. The fulcrum was a fun thing to learn about because we actually got to be in the mouth and work on practicing positioning inside the mouth. I took a blood pressure and got it on the first try! Clinic went by fast today I think because we were working on a patient and were in the mouth...it is really exciting to be able to work in the mouth so much!

Clinic 9/11/06

Today went really well, clinic was actually more enjoyable. I liked being able to actually do hands on stuff a lot today with doing blood pressures and chair positions. I passed of 3 PEs today which is nice to be ahead a little. I hope that clinic from now on still has us doing more hands on stuff the time goes by faster and I feel more like I am making progress.

Clinic 9/6/06

Today my goal was to learn about drugs and more about patient history forms to help with the case study we have to do. I also had the goal of passing off my personal protective PE. I got it passed off as well as the operatory take down PE. It is nice to have started to get things passed off! Clinic is getting more interesting and I am feeling good about everything so far!
