1st Patient-11/29/06

Today I was nervous about the appointment with my first patient. I wasn't nervous at all until I got to school and then I got a little nervous. My goal was just to get through OHI today and then to start scaling next appointment. My mom came in and it was fun to get to work on someone I knew and was comfortable with. Everything went well from the x-rays to getting through OHI. I didn't get started on scaling but I decided as long as I got through OHI that was my goal. I enjoyed today all though it was very stressful and everything with it being my first patient. I am planning on it only getting better from here on out.

Mock Patient Day-11/27/06

Today in clinic it went a lot better than I was thinking that it would. Casandra and I decided to come all day and work on each other. I was a little worried to have to do the full patient appointment on her because I felt a little unprepared. I felt like we had done all of the things we needed to do but never all at once like we will when we see patients. Overall it went really good today. I felt more comfortable as I got going and it was fun to actually do what we will do on patients.
