Clinic 10/30/06

Today in clinic things went pretty well. It was nice to get 2 PE's passed off. I enjoyed getting to practice scaling some more. I wish that I had a little more one on one time to help me with my posterior scaling, I feel like I am not quite as prepared with that as with the anterior scaling. I still didn't have the key to my drawer with my instruments so that also complicated things a lot but hopefully mrs. campbell will be here sometime soon. Clinic went well and a accomplished my goal of passing at least the adaptation, angulation and activation PE off.

Clinic 10/25/06

Today in clinic it was hard because I couldn't find my key and then tiffany said that she had found it in her lab coat pocket and had turned it in to Mrs. Campbell. That made me feel better, but then Mrs. Campbell never showed up so I didn't have any instruments to work with for the entire time. Emily was awesome and let me borrow some that she doesn't use anymore so I at least had something to work with. So clinic was a little rough. Posterior scaling is kinda hard but it went well today. Hope I can get my key and clinic will go a little better next time.

Clinic 10/23/06

Clinic today went back to the times of sitting around quite a bit. After we practiced the intra-oral camera stuff which took a whole 45 minutes it was kinda boring again. I did accomplish my goal of passing off my dental screening PE and also got the instrument identification PE done, it is nice to be ahead of the game on the PE's. It was nice to be able to spend time learning the instruments again, that was helpful because I was confused on identifying my instruments. I was a little frustrated on the dental screening PE how they hadn't really gone over some of the stuff. I passed but it would have been nice to know more about how to do it before we had to pass of the PE. Clinic was ok today...hoping it is a little better next time and doesn't drag as bad.

Clinic 10/18/06

Clinic today was very fun I thought. I thought that it was fun to actually go through a whole appointment just as we would when we start seeing patients. I was a little nervous because I felt a little unprepared for doing the full appointment but it was just fine and I enjoyed doing it. I accomplished my goal of getting through a full appointment and doing fairly well with every step of the appointment. Clinic was really good today!

Clinic 10/16/06

Today in clinic, it was fun to get to start scaling teeth. I enjoyed getting to start working on stuff that we will do everyday. My goal was to pass of my explorer PE since it is due today. I was nervous, but it went well. I enjoyed clinic today except for the fact that I felt horrible and didn't want to be here because I felt so bad.

Clinic 10/11/06

Today clinic was good. It was interesting to see and learn about some of our instruments. It was kinda boring to go over the oral hygiene again, it is pretty simple. I like doing it but just don't for as many times as we have done it. I need to practice over the weekend doing exploring so that I can pass of the PE on monday. Clinic overall went well.

Clinic 10/9/06

Today my goal was to pass of the intraoral PE since it is due today I thought that might be a good thing to do. I also wanted to learn how to do the stuff for today's clinic activities and stuff as usual. It went well, but as usual a little slow. It was overall a good day though.

Clinic 10/4/06

Today clinic was good! It was cool I thought to learn about how to chart all the existing restorations and problems that my patient had....which wasn't any!! I got another chance to practice probing and exploring which was nice. I would have liked to pass of a PE but I will work on preparing for the intra-oral for monday. Clinic is continuing to get more exciting and fun to be able to do more and more in the mouth.

Clinic 10/2/006

Yeah it is October. Today in clinic was fun...I like probing, but it was just a repeat of last Thursday. We got done really fast so like always we didn't have anything to do for the last hour and a half. It gets kind of frustrating to just sit around but overall clinic was interesting and it was good to practice up on my probing.

Clinic 9/27/06

Today in clinic it was actually really good. I really enjoyed probing, far more than exploring. I found it interesting and fun to be in the mouth but doing something that was a little less stressfull as far as hurting the person I was working on.
